Weekly report

The Weekly report draft is a short summary of your week, written for you automatically so you can edit it right away. It replaces the "what did I actually get done this week" write-up you'd otherwise do by hand on a Friday afternoon.

To use weekly reports, an admin has to turn on Weekly Reports in Admin → Features. While it's off, the automatic Friday delivery stops, and the report page, Weekly report delivery in Settings, and the Weekly report draft item on the calendar are all hidden.

What's in it

The report is a Markdown draft covering:

• Completed this week — the number of tasks completed and new deliverables created this week in work you created, plus up to 5 recent items (click one to open that work).
• Compared with last week — how the numbers of completed tasks and deliverables went up or down compared with last week.
• My decisions — for each decision you approved or rejected, the approver, when it was made, and the reason, plus a Target link to the related work or admin screen.
• Team — the number of tasks completed and deliverables this week across all work in your organization, whatever team you're on.

The week runs Monday–Sunday in Korea Standard Time (KST). Open the report on its own page and use Copy to move the Markdown into a doc, an email, or a chat. At the top of the report, the Generated and Delivered times use the same time zone as your calendar; activity and decision times in the body are shown in KST.

The report body is written in the language you've chosen in Settings → Language at the time it's generated: Korean or English. If you've never chosen a language, it's written in Korean. A report that's already saved keeps its text even if you change the language later.

When it arrives

• Every Friday at 16:00 KST, Ian On generates and delivers it automatically. You can see the delivery time in the Weekly report draft item on your calendar. A week with no completed tasks or deliverables in your work and no decisions from you is skipped, and a report already delivered to the same channel for the same week isn't sent again.
• On demand, run /ian report in Discord to generate this week's report right away and get a link in the reply. It's generated even for a week with no activity. It replaces that week's existing report with the new content and also sends it again to the channel you picked in Weekly report delivery. You need to link your Discord account first. See Discord.

Where it's delivered

You choose the channel in Settings → Weekly report delivery. The default is In-app notification.

• In-app notification — a web push; click it to open the report. To get it, you need to allow notifications from Ian On in your browser.
• Discord DM — a direct message with a link. This option is available only after you've set up your Discord connection.

If the Messenger Bots feature is off and you haven't linked Discord, the Weekly report delivery setting doesn't appear, and you get the report as an In-app notification.
